First off, my gift was wonderful! It’s for Janet Edwards’ Hive Mind series, which is pretty tiny as fandoms go. But if you know the series, I definitely recommend it — it’s a wonderful look at the Ramblers, one of the groups we don’t get to explore enough in canon, and the sorts of stories they tell.
A Gathering of Souls, 1.6K

A Little Princess

Discipulae, Sara & Becky gen, 6.4K
A lovely look at a post-canon life, where Sara and Becky both get to grow and learn new things.

American Vandal

Til Tomorrow's Show, 3.5K, Sam/Peter
Sam and Peter take on a new case involving a haunting. It doesn’t go well, but they get some other things figured out.

Black Mirror

The Adventure Continues, 1K
A fun look at the next mission for the crew of the USS Callister, with Nanette/Shania to boot.

esolang, 7K
An amazing, affecting, and wonderful look at the crew of the USS Callister post-canon. It starts with a mouse, or maybe a hamster, or maybe an octopus, and it goes so many other places.

Ghostbusters (original movies)

Better Than Roses
, Egon/Janine, 2K
An amazing Egon/Janine fic that nails the little details and the broad strokes. Egon shows his regard in unexpected ways, and Janine decides to take her chance.

The Good Place

A Warm, Sexy Trumpet Mute, Jason/Janet,
A hilarious look at Janet and Jason after the events of S4E7.

Captive Audience, Janet & Vicky, 1.6K
Vicky tries to get into her role torturing Janet, but she’s still missing her motivation. Great Vicky, great Janet, and appropriately terrible Vicky acting.

The Great (Not-A-)Robot Uprising,
Scenes from the Janet group text.

Maybe the Real High Five was the Friends We Made Along The Way, Michael-centric gen, 1K.
Michael’s notes on reboots we never saw.

Hitting the Sweet Spot: A Scarlett Pakistani Adventure, Simone/Tahani, 2.3K
Simone and Tahani read Chip Driver together. It’s an experience neither of them will forget.

Occupantional Hazards, past Chidi/Eleanor, 3.9K
Eleanor as an architect. Sometimes it sucks. Sometimes it sucks a little less. Really lovely looks at each of our humans, with some great worldbuilding bits.

Just OK Boy Band (AT&T Commercial)

(U R My) Summertime Lover
A sweet backstory for the band in the commercial, with a romance between Boy Band Frontman and Crouching Boy Band Member Who Never Sings.

My Life Is Murder

Yeast & Time, 3.5K, Alexa & MadisonAlexa teaches Madison to bake, with flashbacks to other times in Alexa's life when baking has given her something to cling to.

Murderbot

How I Spent My Vacation Between Survey Missions, Murderbot & ART, 3.7K
Murderbot and ART decide to spend some time together. Naturally, they have some corporations to take on.

Rest in the Grass
, <1K
A pitch-perfect look at Murderbot on Preservation, coming to terms with a new life.

Situation Normal, Murderbot & ART, 9K
The tags say locked-room mystery, but that's only part of the fic, which also sees Murderbot and ART in conflict and asks some interesting questions about freedom and self-determination.

Murder She Wrote/Spider-Verse

Spider She Wrote, Muder She Wrote/Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse crossover, 1K
Charming as hell crossover between two canons that wouldn’t seem like they’d work, but totally do. Miles gets a unique POV on one of Jessica Fletcher’s murder cases — and maybe a new understanding of one of Aunt May’s secrets.

Ocean’s 8

Masquerade, Debbie/Tammy, 6K
Five +1 look at Debbie and Tammy’s relationship, from six separate POVs stretching from pre-canon to post-canon. Fits beautifully with canon, and gives an amazing perspective on Debbie and Tammy both.

Pretty Things All The Time, Amita & Daphne & Constance & Nine-Ball, 2.5K gen heist
Daphne decides on an unexpected heist, and pulls the others in.

Oxford Time Travel Universe

A Cup of Kindness
Colin meets with a very old friend — one who really shouldn’t have worked things out. A lovely Christmas-y piece very much in keeping with canon.

Pushing Daisies

Chekov’s Gun, Olive & Emerson, 2.4K
Olive and Emerson team up to solve a mystery in this pitch-perfect slice of Pushing Daisies.
