I love all of these ships and fandoms, and I will be delighted to get a gift for any of them. If I have more prompts for a given ship or fandom, it just means I had more ideas, not that I want it more.
I’ve made some updates from my earlier requests for these fandoms, mostly to try to keep my prompts to things that are shorter-minimum-friendly, and to try to keep this letter from being hideously long(er than it already was). But in the unlikely event that you’re interested in one of my earlier prompts that didn’t get included here, go for it!
I’m also here for something different, if you have a story you’d love to tell about one of the ships I’ve requested (provided it doesn’t run into a DNW). Some of my favorite gifts have been ones I would never have thought to prompt! And I hope you also feel free to mix and match, take part of a prompt and leave the rest, etc.

General dislikes and DNWs
I tend to prefer canon-typical levels of sexual content, which for these canons would mean nothing explicit. That being said, if you need to include a scene that’s a step above fade-to-black for reasons of the plot, I totally get it! I’m just not interested in smut/porn as the main focus of the fic.

Don’t Trust the B
Chloe/June
I love these two together. I love the way Chloe doesn’t realize she’s letting June in under her guard until she’s already in there, in some kind of reverse-corruption deal. ♥
I love the episodes where Chloe reveals some unexpected soft spot, like her secret collection of Shitagi Nashi comics or her love of Charro. I love when June discovers or uncovers a side of Chloe that Chloe didn’t know she had.
While I’m still not into PWP or explicit porn, I’d be fine with plots including dubcon kissing, cuddling, etc. between Chloe and June, which seems pretty realistic based on canon. I’m also fine with an open relationship for Chloe and June, if that’s how you see them.
-Chloe comes up with some reason why they need to pretend to be a couple, and June catches real feelings. Maybe Chloe’s trying to prove June couldn’t feel like that for her, but secretly hoping to be wrong. Or maybe there’s a real reason they need to Undercover As A Couple together!
-I love a good Vegas Wedding (or other accidental marriage) and I love a good The Hangover. This seems like a great canon for either or both.
-June gets sick and/or accidentally drugged, and Chloe has to take care of her. (Caretaker!Chloe just seems like it has a ton of potential for hilarity.)
-June gets turned into a vampire and makes Chloe into her thrall. Chloe either makes a terrible thrall, or is surprised to find she’s into it. (Side note: Characters turning into vampires doesn’t hit my MCD DNW. Also, my cannibalism squick/DNW does not include consensual blood-drinking by vampires, so if you want to run with that, go for it.)
-Someone with a grudge against one of them is trying to act out a horror movie and invites them to a remote island or abandoned summer camp, only to find Chloe (or June! Or both of them!) flipping the script on them.
Gravity Falls
Mabel/Pacifica
I love Pacifica and Mabel together! I felt like I wanted way more Pacifica backstory and character development than we got in canon, and Mabel is just so much fun — I love seeing more of the two of them. And they have such a great dynamic for shipfic. :D
A quick note re: my underage DNW: if you write fic set when Pacifica and Mabel are under 18, I’m fine with kissing or hand-holding, similar to what we see in canon. If you go beyond that point, please age them both up to 18+.
-Mabel’s evil twin shows up and starts trying to take Mabel’s place, and Pacifica’s the first one to notice… or does she?
-Post-canon fic! Pacifica’s family has lost their money and Pacifica’s waiting tables for Lazy Susan — what’s it like when Mabel shows up for the summer? Woobie!Pacifica greatly appreciated here.
-Mabel and Pacifica have to investigate an urban legend (and I’m assuming that in Gravity Falls, urban legends can get pretty weird….)
-Mabel and Pacifica discover they are soulmates (the weirder the soulmate trope, the better — soulmate or 500 roaches, angry soulmate goose, that sort of thing).
-GLOW fusion! Gravity Falls brings a wrestling coach to town to run a girl’s wrestling program. Mabel’s having a blast, until she’s cast as the heel and Pacifica’s cast as the face. And working with Pacifica in the ring is bringing up unexpected feelings….
Hart of Dixie
Hart of Dixie, the small town feel-good canon of my heart! I’d love to get a chance to spend some time in Bluebell.
For background ships, I’m good with Wade/Zoe or Joel/Zoe, AnnaBeth/George or Tansy/George, AnnaBeth/Lavon (for fic set during the time when Lemon and Lavon are not together), Brick/Shelby, Tom/Wanda, and Cricket/Jaysene.
General Prompts (any requested ship)
-I love the way everyone in Bluebell believes in the snow curse! A story about everyone having bad luck during another snowstorm would be great. Or maybe there’s a snowstorm and everyone has good luck, and it’s creeping everyone out, because there’s obviously something really bad coming.
-Bluebellians become convinced something supernatural is going on — that there’s a haunting in town, that the town’s run afoul of a curse laid by one of the town founders, etc. The characters either think it’s ridiculous and tries to explain that to everyone, or end up investigating to try to get to the bottom of things and getting sucked into the madness in spite of themselves.
-Basically any wacky Bluebell event or tradition, whether it’s one we know from canon or a new one you invent!
Lemon Breeland/Lavon Hayes
I love so many ships on Hart of Dixie, but these two hold a special place in my heart. I love the two of them finally figuring out a way to make it work — and feel like they’d have many happy, argumentative years together to look forward to.
-Lemon and Lavon settling into a home together. I’d imagine Lavon has his habits, and Lemon has strong opinions — how could they make it work?
-Lemon decides to renovate, and discovers something unexpected!
-Tom Long gets lost on a church retreat and comes out of the woods claiming he saw a dinosaur. As First Lady of Bluebell, Lemon gets caught up in the chaos along with Lavon. Does Bluebell really need an official dinosaur policy? And just what did Tom really see, anyway?
-Lemon, Lavon, and the vacation from Hell
-Where do you take your wife on a date when she’s already the owner of the fanciest restaurant in town?
Magnolia Breeland/Rose Hattenbarger
I love both of these characters and how they bounce off one another, and I would be so delighted by something canon-verse where they meet again and fall in love.
-Fake relationship that leads to real feelings. Maybe Magnolia’s become a small-time star with her music and and has a journalist scheduled to come do a cover story or shoot a TV segment about Magnolia and her girlfriend… only her girlfriend just broke up with her, and she needs someone to play the part. Or maybe Rose is the one who needs the “fake” girlfriend, and she manages to convince (or blackmail?) Magnolia to help.
-Lemon and Zoe put Magnolia and Rose in charge of a town event together!
-Magnolia starts dating Rose, and doesn’t want Lemon to find out. Lemon knows something’s going on, but keeps drawing the wrong conclusions. Or maybe Lemon knows, but she’s offended Magnolia doesn’t trust her enough to tell her, and goes full-on shenanigans as a result.
-Magnolia and Rose discover they are soulmates (the weirder the soulmate trope, the better — soulmate or 500 roaches, angry soulmate goose, that sort of thing).
-Accidental Vegas marriage! They think they can hide it from the people of Bluebell, but the Bluebell gossip network is unexpectedly efficient.
Lemon Breeland & Annabeth Nass (Hart of Dixie), Zoe Hart & Annabeth Nass (Hart of Dixie)
I love AnnaBeth and I’d love to see her friendships! I’m also here for AnnaBeth & Lemon & Zoe, if that’s your thing, or for throwing other characters into the mix.
-Someone hires Frank to investigate AnnaBeth — but who hired him, and why? Zoe and/or Lemon are on the case.
-Lemon & AnnaBeth or Zoe & AnnaBeth and shenanigans, whether to help the town or for more nefarious purposes
-AnnaBeth apparently has a sister, who we never got to meet. What’s she like? Maybe she comes to town, and AnnaBeth asks Lemon and/or Zoe to help with her stay?
-Lemon’s second bachelorette party is even more of a disaster than her first. Maybe it’s drama with Magnolia and AnnaBeth trying to work together. Maybe they all wake up the next morning and have no idea what happened. Maybe Burt Reynolds crashes the party. Maybe all of the above and worse.
-A time when AnnaBeth had to stand up to Lemon.
-AnnaBeth teaches Zoe about an unexpected Bluebell tradition.
Hidden Legacy
I’m so excited we’re getting more in this world! I love the worldbuilding, and all of the characters. I’ve read everything through the novella, and I keep up with the snippets on the authors’ blog as well, so no worries on spoilers.
For background ships, I’m good with Nevada/Rogan, Bern/anyone, and Leon/anyone. For fic about ships that don’t involve Catalina being with someone else, I’m fine with background Catalina/Alessandro as well. I love basically everyone in this canon, with real soft spots for Grandma Frida, Bug, Bern, and Leon.
I love the worldbuilding in this canon — everything around the powers, Houses, marriages, etc., but also some of the other stuff, like the magic-warped places where things don’t work the way you’d expect. I also love it when a power that seems straightforward gets used in a way you don’t expect, like Cornelius’s ferret heist.
Spoiler note: There are a few spoilers for Diamond Fire, the novella, in the prompts below, although I don’t think any of them ruin any major reveals.
General Prompts (any requested ship)
-I love all the background about Herald. A fic revolving around how the emerging House Baylor gets written about in Herald could be amazing, esp. if we get to see how the characters react to all of that!
-Or characters react to fic about themselves on Herald. (…and maybe one of the fics ends up being Grandma Frida’s work?)
-Outsider POV from someone suddenly dealing with the Baylors!
Arabella Baylor & Catalina Baylor & Nevada Baylor
-Sister bonding time! I love their banter and how solid their relationship is, even if they drive one another crazy. :D
-We know there's some weird stuff in this world. Are hauntings a thing? Maybe Catalina and/or Arabella become convinced that someone's house is haunted/someone has a cursed object. Nevada is on the case.
-An artifact unexpectedly lets one sister see how things would have turned out if she hadn’t been born with her power.
-With Victoria in her prison, the Baylor sisters have to travel to her house to deal with things. Or Victoria dies, and the Baylor sisters are left something in her will. Something they want? Something they don’t? Something terrifying?
Catalina Baylor & Runa Etterson, Catalina Baylor/Runa Etterson
Runa was my favorite new character in Diamond Fire, and I loved seeing her friendship with Catalina. (Gen or ship, either is great for this.) What does it look like when they get closer?
-Catalina and Runa bonding. Who would drag the other shopping for a dress before a big Prime event? Do they come up with games to play to pass the time at events?
-Victoria Tremaine dies, and Catalina takes Runa with her to disable some of the many traps she’s undoubtedly set in her mansion-prison.
-Runa’s wondering if she’s starting to fall under Catalina’s power. How does being around Sirens affect people? Or maybe Runa thinks she has her stupid crush under control, but then Catalina has to unleash her wings… and Runa’s the only one not affected.
-Runa can ingest and neutralize any poison, which made me wonder about, like, forbidden fruits. Can she help someone eat something they're allergic to even if it's not a poison to other people? Is her kitchen basically toxic to anyone who's not her? Are there unexpectedly delicious things Runa can eat that are poisonous to most people, and if so, could she safely share them with Catalina?
-House Etterson is probably just as dysfunctional or unexpected as all the other Houses. What would happen if Runa took Catalina to visit (either as a friend or romantic interest)?
Arabella Baylor/Augustine Montgomery
For this ship, I’d prefer that Arabella be a bit older when they get together, like maybe early-mid 20s? One-sided crushing from either side is also fine here. :)
-Arabella takes an internship or a job with Montgomery instead of working for Baylor Investigations. Why? Is she looking into him for some reason? Does she want to work outside of the family firm for a bit, to expand her abilities? Does Montgomery offer her other ways to use and explore her powers?
-I’d imagine that although she's a Prime, nobody out there is looking for Arabella's power in their genetic pool. How does that complicate a relationship for her? Is it something Augustine could overlook?
-Augustine spends so much time focusing on looking perfect. How does Arabella's Beast form look from his perspective? Or conversely, how does Arabella feel about Augustine's true form?
-Augustine needs a (fake?) date for some Prime event, and Arabella gets drafted.
Catalina Baylor/Original Character
I am open to OC love interests of whatever gender for Catalina. (How would a F/F ship work in this world, especially for a Prime?)
-Catalina gets set up on a series of dates with OCs with increasingly strange powers.
-Catalina comes across someone else who’s immune to her powers.
-Catalina and her SO are shopping for a home. Nevada probably has a lot of opinions, right? What kind of issues could come up? Or maybe Catalina is settling into their new home, and starts thinking the house is haunted.
-People on Herald start shipping Catalina with [OC]. Catalina decides she wants to figure out why. Or (maybe more likely?) Arabella decides they need to figure out why.
-Based on Diamond Fire, Catalina will be learning a lot about being a Prime from Rogan's mom, and is probably going to be rigid about following it. What would it look like if she met an OC who encouraged her to mix things up a little? To follow her own desires instead of what's expected of her as Head of House?
Hive Mind
I love this series. :D I’m always here for special, special telepaths and the people who love and serve them, so this series was an easy hit right on the sweet spot for my id… and then the author threw in some really interesting worldbuilding, too.
I love how the Hive isn’t a dystopia or a utopia, but something in between — some things are obviously better than our world, and some things are obviously worse, and some things are just different. It’s a fascinating balance and I love the unique view Amber gets of that world.
General prompts (any requested ship)
-Characters get to explore some new area of the Hive!
-Amber (and Lucas, Buzz, and/or Nicole) is taking one of her reset breaks over at Hive Futura when something goes wrong. Maybe someone’s gotten in from outside and is stalking them. Maybe there’s a serious snowstorm, the aircraft can’t leave to bring them back, and the systems at Hive Futura are breaking down. Or maybe something else!
-Emergency response-related fic is my jam, and I’ve really enjoyed what we’ve seen in canon. I’d love to see more of our team responding to emergencies! What would an epidemic look like in the Hive? Are there ever storms outside large enough that they affect the inside of the Hive?
Buzz/Nicole (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards)
Buzz is a good person who's willing to get unscrupulous at times. Nicole's extremely earnest, but also enjoys coming up with lies to cover up Telepath Unit operations. I feel like they could be an unexpectedly good match, and I’d love to see more.
-Buzz decides to get a little unscrupulous. :D Or maybe Nicole's the one who decides to make the first move?
-Valentine fic! It’s one of the few holidays we know the Hive celebrates, after all. :D Does Amber’s unit get to do a big celebration, or does an emergency run come up and conflict with their plans?
-Buzz introduces Nicole to a new area of the Hive. They must have more specialist recreation facilities we haven’t seen yet, right? What sorts of things might Nicole enjoy? Where does Buzz shop and would Nicole feel out of place there?
-Buzz is a definite clothes horse, so maybe she starts wearing deliciously respectable-yet-sexy outfits to try to get Nicole to notice her. Nicole’s either good at hiding her interest, or focusing on some other aspect of Buzz, like her kindness, sense of humor, amazing hair, banging bod, etc.
-Buzz gets an unexpected insight from Nicole.
Amber/Lucas
I love these two together! Amber thinks of herself as ordinary, even though she’s not; Lucas is a life-long outsider who’s unexpectedly found a place.
-Amber has mentioned that Valentine is the festival for couples, and she hasn't had one with a partner before. What's Valentine like? How would Amber and Lucas and the unit celebrate?
-Amber/Lucas, down time Outside or in the unit.
-Amber/Lucas, trapped in a bookette program that’s malfunctioning unexpectedly.
-Amber accidentally reads one of Lucas’s parents and discovers more about why his family fell apart the way it did. Does she tell him?
-Amber and Lucas try to solve a problem for one of Amber's parents.
Amber & Buzz (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards), Amber & Nicole (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards)
I’d love to see more of Amber’s friendships with the people on her team! I chose Buzz because I love Buzz’s wicked sense of humor and down-to-earth approach, and Nicole because she’s one of my favorites, and we don’t get to see interact with Amber as much.
-Amber's view as Buzz and/or Nicole assist with some Hive emergency like an epidemic or power failure
-Amber & Nicole and/or Buzz plan the unit’s Valentine celebrations!
-Amber seems to identify and preemptively solve a lot of problems for the people in her Unit. What problems might she have solved for Buzz or Nicole?
-Nicole and/or Buzz join Amber on a low-stakes event, like a day at the beach, or a day of shopping.
-Amber’s singing! We know she enjoys it — is she any good? Does Buzz decide to organize some sort of opportunity for Amber to sing? Does Nicole sing, too?
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR HURRICANE PAST THIS POINT.
Seriously, so many spoilers, turn back now, it’s a great book and I don’t want to wreck any of the twists.
First, one any-requested-combo darkfic prompt that relies on knowledge of the new book (and seriously, major spoilers, turn back now): We know Gold Commander Melisande would give the orders to shut the bulkhead doors and abandon a zone of the Hive if she had to. What if that has already happened? Our characters have already seen the Hive from the outside, but it’s not like they can easily see where the zone divisions are. What if there’s an abandoned zone past Burgundy or past Violet? What could happen to force Amber into that area?
Juniper/Melisandre (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards)
First off, I screwed up when nominating — it’s Melisande, not Melisandre. Ack.
Juniper gets introduced in Hurricane, and by the end of the book, she’s the deputy for a senior-level position and has an imprint that tells her a lot of the Hive’s most closely-kept secrets. Also, she’s from the Sea Farm, which means she’s got a very different perspective from Melisande.
Juniper wasn’t looking for a relationship while Amber and all the rest were there, but what about later on? Her role seems like it’ll put her into contact with Melisande, who’s made it clear she’s into strong women. I feel like this could be a really good match on both sides.
-Melisande asks for Juniper’s help with something at the Hive.
-Melisande starts taking more runs to the Sea Farm and not admitting why — maybe not even to herself.
-Juniper trying to overcome her dislike of the Hive to spend time with Melisande.
-It seems like only the Outside workers really get vacations or time away from their jobs in this world. Melisande is one of the few people in a job she actually wouldn't have chosen... does she ever get to get away and if so, would she go to the Sea Farm to do it (and end up connecting with Juniper)?
The Spy Who Dumped Me
Morgan Freeman/Audrey Stockton, Morgan Freeman & Audrey Stockton
I love these two together! I love the way Morgan is always just too much, and the fact that Audrey loves her for it. I love how Morgan is always there for Audrey, and the way she tries to make sure Audrey owns how awesome she is.
Either gen or ship are great. If you go the gen route, I’m fine with background Audrey/Sebastian and/or Wendy/Morgan. I DNW love triangles for Audrey and Morgan, however, so please no Morgan crushing unrequitedly on Audrey while Audrey’s into someone else, or vice versa.
-Spy hijinks. SPYJINKS.
-Morgan’s parents! I loved them so much. Has Audrey met them before? I can’t see Morgan fake-dating Audrey for her parents’ benefit— let’s be real, she tells them absolutely everything. But I could see Morgan taking Audrey home as a friend, and her parents deciding to play matchmaker and try to ignite some sparks, in the most awkward and well-meaning way possible.
-I want to know more about this underage magician Morgan had staying at her grandmother’s condo. The one who disappeared forever. Like… what? There’s a story there, right? Maybe Morgan and Audrey decide to use their new spy skills to try to track him down?
-Undercover as a couple for a spy mission turns into real feelings.
-Looking for a new apartment together because some spy asshole blew theirs up.
-I love seeing people use spy skills for ordinary, every-day problems that really don’t warrant them. Maybe something about their weird landlord, or something at Audrey’s day job, that Morgan decides needs to be investigated, Spy Style.
Veronica Mars
Veronica Mars is one of my forever fandoms, and with the news about the Hulu reprise series, I had to get back into things. I am more or less familiar with the events of the movie and the two books, but I am also fine if you want to ignore later parts of canon and just work with Seasons 1-2.
For fic about gen ships, I’m fine with background Logan/Veronica, Wallace/anyone, Cliff/anyone, or Keith/anyone, and references to past canon ships are fine. I DNW love triangles for requested characters for this canon, so please no Mac crushing on Veronica while Veronica’s with Logan (or other variations of the type).
General Prompts (any requested ship)
-Veronica talks someone into playing a role in one of her investigations!
-The characters investigate a paranormal case in Neptune! Some possibilities: a Barbleu (Bluebeard) has moved into a big mansion on the cliffs; the 09ers are turning into werewolves and taking over Dog Beach; something something alien abductions; someone finds something cheap at a yard sale and discovers there's a curse. Who's the Scully? Who's the Mulder? Is the case what it looks like on the surface?
Cindy "Mac" Mackenzie & Veronica Mars, Cindy "Mac" Mackenzie/Veronica Mars
I love Veronica and Mac together, whether it’s platonic or something more.
-Working together, post-movie!
-State-Mandated Ghost Hunters AU! Maybe Mac and Veronica haven’t been in touch for a while before they get paired up, and have to learn to work together again? (Totally optional: Lilly or one of the many other Neptune murder victims is their first case.)
-On the shippy side, trope-y shipfic like undercover as a couple, didn't know they were dating, accidental dreamwalking or telepathy, met-online-and-didn't-realize-they-knew-one-another, etc. are all great for this.
-People have done Veronica Mars-meets-The Good Place fusions before, but I'd be here for more! How would Veronica react to The Good Place? (I can't help but think she'd be even more suspicious than Eleanor....) What would they think if they got assigned as soulmates? Does Mac try to hack Janet?
-Mac just wanted a nice, relaxing vacation... and then Veronica had to go and find a seedy underbelly to investigate.
Cindy "Mac" Mackenzie & Lauren Sinclair
I always wanted Mac to get to know her real little sister, and I’d love to see the two of them together.
-Lauren goes looking into the past and discovers the baby swap. Does she seek Mac out?
-Either Lauren or Mac decides to interact their sister over the internet, under a new identity, but finds herself getting unexpectedly close to the other. When do they admit their relationship? (Epistolary would be awesome for this, btw!)
-If there's one thing I know about Neptune, it's that Lauren will be getting involved in a Mars Investigations case sooner or later!
-Lauren’s become a reporter for the school newspaper, and she's doing some sort of retrospective -- maybe about a past or current case? Maybe Veronica's exploits have turned into urban legends at Neptune High, and she wants to find out what parts actually happened? She tracks down Mac to interview, and Mac has to decide whether to reveal that they're sisters.
Veronica Mars & Cliff McCormack
Cliff has always been one of my favorite minor characters, and I love his banter with Veronica. I’d love to see more!
-The Hangover: Cliff and Veronica wake up somewhere, with no idea of how they got there, or why they’re together. What do they discover as they retrace the night before?
-Cliff goes to Veronica for help on a case, or needs to be bailed out.
-A time when Veronica got into a jam and called Cliff instead of Keith.
-Veronica and Cliff get trapped somewhere together, and must work together to get out.
Veronica Mars & Wallace Fennel
Rewatching the early eps has just reminded me how much I love their friendship. :D
-Veronica gets Wallace his first drone. He’s excited, until he realizes it’s got to be something she needs him to use for a case. (Or maybe it ends up just being a gift!)
-Snapshot of an AU where Wallace and Veronica did end up as stepsiblings! What are holidays like?
-Veronica and Wallace, staying in touch over the internet. Maybe Wallace has a Google alert for news stories he thinks Veronica might be behind, and gets in touch to ask about them? Or maybe Wallace gets scammed over the internet, and Veronica is on the case!
-Wallace buys a foreclosed house with complications, like a prior tenant who won’t move out, or signs of a past mystery. Or maybe the place just needs to be redone, and Veronica’s been watching enough HGTV to be dangerous. He didn’t know what he was getting himself into — but Veronica’s there to help.

General dislikes and DNWs
I tend to prefer canon-typical levels of sexual content, which for these canons would mean nothing explicit. That being said, if you need to include a scene that’s a step above fade-to-black for reasons of the plot, I totally get it! I’m just not interested in smut/porn as the main focus of the fic.
My DNWs for these canons:

Don’t Trust the B
Chloe/June
I love these two together. I love the way Chloe doesn’t realize she’s letting June in under her guard until she’s already in there, in some kind of reverse-corruption deal. ♥
I love the episodes where Chloe reveals some unexpected soft spot, like her secret collection of Shitagi Nashi comics or her love of Charro. I love when June discovers or uncovers a side of Chloe that Chloe didn’t know she had.
While I’m still not into PWP or explicit porn, I’d be fine with plots including dubcon kissing, cuddling, etc. between Chloe and June, which seems pretty realistic based on canon. I’m also fine with an open relationship for Chloe and June, if that’s how you see them.
-Chloe comes up with some reason why they need to pretend to be a couple, and June catches real feelings. Maybe Chloe’s trying to prove June couldn’t feel like that for her, but secretly hoping to be wrong. Or maybe there’s a real reason they need to Undercover As A Couple together!
-I love a good Vegas Wedding (or other accidental marriage) and I love a good The Hangover. This seems like a great canon for either or both.
-June gets sick and/or accidentally drugged, and Chloe has to take care of her. (Caretaker!Chloe just seems like it has a ton of potential for hilarity.)
-June gets turned into a vampire and makes Chloe into her thrall. Chloe either makes a terrible thrall, or is surprised to find she’s into it. (Side note: Characters turning into vampires doesn’t hit my MCD DNW. Also, my cannibalism squick/DNW does not include consensual blood-drinking by vampires, so if you want to run with that, go for it.)
-Someone with a grudge against one of them is trying to act out a horror movie and invites them to a remote island or abandoned summer camp, only to find Chloe (or June! Or both of them!) flipping the script on them.
Gravity Falls
Mabel/Pacifica
I love Pacifica and Mabel together! I felt like I wanted way more Pacifica backstory and character development than we got in canon, and Mabel is just so much fun — I love seeing more of the two of them. And they have such a great dynamic for shipfic. :D
A quick note re: my underage DNW: if you write fic set when Pacifica and Mabel are under 18, I’m fine with kissing or hand-holding, similar to what we see in canon. If you go beyond that point, please age them both up to 18+.
-Mabel’s evil twin shows up and starts trying to take Mabel’s place, and Pacifica’s the first one to notice… or does she?
-Post-canon fic! Pacifica’s family has lost their money and Pacifica’s waiting tables for Lazy Susan — what’s it like when Mabel shows up for the summer? Woobie!Pacifica greatly appreciated here.
-Mabel and Pacifica have to investigate an urban legend (and I’m assuming that in Gravity Falls, urban legends can get pretty weird….)
-Mabel and Pacifica discover they are soulmates (the weirder the soulmate trope, the better — soulmate or 500 roaches, angry soulmate goose, that sort of thing).
-GLOW fusion! Gravity Falls brings a wrestling coach to town to run a girl’s wrestling program. Mabel’s having a blast, until she’s cast as the heel and Pacifica’s cast as the face. And working with Pacifica in the ring is bringing up unexpected feelings….
Hart of Dixie
Hart of Dixie, the small town feel-good canon of my heart! I’d love to get a chance to spend some time in Bluebell.
For background ships, I’m good with Wade/Zoe or Joel/Zoe, AnnaBeth/George or Tansy/George, AnnaBeth/Lavon (for fic set during the time when Lemon and Lavon are not together), Brick/Shelby, Tom/Wanda, and Cricket/Jaysene.
General Prompts (any requested ship)
-I love the way everyone in Bluebell believes in the snow curse! A story about everyone having bad luck during another snowstorm would be great. Or maybe there’s a snowstorm and everyone has good luck, and it’s creeping everyone out, because there’s obviously something really bad coming.
-Bluebellians become convinced something supernatural is going on — that there’s a haunting in town, that the town’s run afoul of a curse laid by one of the town founders, etc. The characters either think it’s ridiculous and tries to explain that to everyone, or end up investigating to try to get to the bottom of things and getting sucked into the madness in spite of themselves.
-Basically any wacky Bluebell event or tradition, whether it’s one we know from canon or a new one you invent!
Lemon Breeland/Lavon Hayes
I love so many ships on Hart of Dixie, but these two hold a special place in my heart. I love the two of them finally figuring out a way to make it work — and feel like they’d have many happy, argumentative years together to look forward to.
-Lemon and Lavon settling into a home together. I’d imagine Lavon has his habits, and Lemon has strong opinions — how could they make it work?
-Lemon decides to renovate, and discovers something unexpected!
-Tom Long gets lost on a church retreat and comes out of the woods claiming he saw a dinosaur. As First Lady of Bluebell, Lemon gets caught up in the chaos along with Lavon. Does Bluebell really need an official dinosaur policy? And just what did Tom really see, anyway?
-Lemon, Lavon, and the vacation from Hell
-Where do you take your wife on a date when she’s already the owner of the fanciest restaurant in town?
Magnolia Breeland/Rose Hattenbarger
I love both of these characters and how they bounce off one another, and I would be so delighted by something canon-verse where they meet again and fall in love.
-Fake relationship that leads to real feelings. Maybe Magnolia’s become a small-time star with her music and and has a journalist scheduled to come do a cover story or shoot a TV segment about Magnolia and her girlfriend… only her girlfriend just broke up with her, and she needs someone to play the part. Or maybe Rose is the one who needs the “fake” girlfriend, and she manages to convince (or blackmail?) Magnolia to help.
-Lemon and Zoe put Magnolia and Rose in charge of a town event together!
-Magnolia starts dating Rose, and doesn’t want Lemon to find out. Lemon knows something’s going on, but keeps drawing the wrong conclusions. Or maybe Lemon knows, but she’s offended Magnolia doesn’t trust her enough to tell her, and goes full-on shenanigans as a result.
-Magnolia and Rose discover they are soulmates (the weirder the soulmate trope, the better — soulmate or 500 roaches, angry soulmate goose, that sort of thing).
-Accidental Vegas marriage! They think they can hide it from the people of Bluebell, but the Bluebell gossip network is unexpectedly efficient.
Lemon Breeland & Annabeth Nass (Hart of Dixie), Zoe Hart & Annabeth Nass (Hart of Dixie)
I love AnnaBeth and I’d love to see her friendships! I’m also here for AnnaBeth & Lemon & Zoe, if that’s your thing, or for throwing other characters into the mix.
-Someone hires Frank to investigate AnnaBeth — but who hired him, and why? Zoe and/or Lemon are on the case.
-Lemon & AnnaBeth or Zoe & AnnaBeth and shenanigans, whether to help the town or for more nefarious purposes
-AnnaBeth apparently has a sister, who we never got to meet. What’s she like? Maybe she comes to town, and AnnaBeth asks Lemon and/or Zoe to help with her stay?
-Lemon’s second bachelorette party is even more of a disaster than her first. Maybe it’s drama with Magnolia and AnnaBeth trying to work together. Maybe they all wake up the next morning and have no idea what happened. Maybe Burt Reynolds crashes the party. Maybe all of the above and worse.
-A time when AnnaBeth had to stand up to Lemon.
-AnnaBeth teaches Zoe about an unexpected Bluebell tradition.
Hidden Legacy
I’m so excited we’re getting more in this world! I love the worldbuilding, and all of the characters. I’ve read everything through the novella, and I keep up with the snippets on the authors’ blog as well, so no worries on spoilers.
For background ships, I’m good with Nevada/Rogan, Bern/anyone, and Leon/anyone. For fic about ships that don’t involve Catalina being with someone else, I’m fine with background Catalina/Alessandro as well. I love basically everyone in this canon, with real soft spots for Grandma Frida, Bug, Bern, and Leon.
I love the worldbuilding in this canon — everything around the powers, Houses, marriages, etc., but also some of the other stuff, like the magic-warped places where things don’t work the way you’d expect. I also love it when a power that seems straightforward gets used in a way you don’t expect, like Cornelius’s ferret heist.
Spoiler note: There are a few spoilers for Diamond Fire, the novella, in the prompts below, although I don’t think any of them ruin any major reveals.
General Prompts (any requested ship)
-I love all the background about Herald. A fic revolving around how the emerging House Baylor gets written about in Herald could be amazing, esp. if we get to see how the characters react to all of that!
-Or characters react to fic about themselves on Herald. (…and maybe one of the fics ends up being Grandma Frida’s work?)
-Outsider POV from someone suddenly dealing with the Baylors!
Arabella Baylor & Catalina Baylor & Nevada Baylor
-Sister bonding time! I love their banter and how solid their relationship is, even if they drive one another crazy. :D
-We know there's some weird stuff in this world. Are hauntings a thing? Maybe Catalina and/or Arabella become convinced that someone's house is haunted/someone has a cursed object. Nevada is on the case.
-An artifact unexpectedly lets one sister see how things would have turned out if she hadn’t been born with her power.
-With Victoria in her prison, the Baylor sisters have to travel to her house to deal with things. Or Victoria dies, and the Baylor sisters are left something in her will. Something they want? Something they don’t? Something terrifying?
Catalina Baylor & Runa Etterson, Catalina Baylor/Runa Etterson
Runa was my favorite new character in Diamond Fire, and I loved seeing her friendship with Catalina. (Gen or ship, either is great for this.) What does it look like when they get closer?
-Catalina and Runa bonding. Who would drag the other shopping for a dress before a big Prime event? Do they come up with games to play to pass the time at events?
-Victoria Tremaine dies, and Catalina takes Runa with her to disable some of the many traps she’s undoubtedly set in her mansion-prison.
-Runa’s wondering if she’s starting to fall under Catalina’s power. How does being around Sirens affect people? Or maybe Runa thinks she has her stupid crush under control, but then Catalina has to unleash her wings… and Runa’s the only one not affected.
-Runa can ingest and neutralize any poison, which made me wonder about, like, forbidden fruits. Can she help someone eat something they're allergic to even if it's not a poison to other people? Is her kitchen basically toxic to anyone who's not her? Are there unexpectedly delicious things Runa can eat that are poisonous to most people, and if so, could she safely share them with Catalina?
-House Etterson is probably just as dysfunctional or unexpected as all the other Houses. What would happen if Runa took Catalina to visit (either as a friend or romantic interest)?
Arabella Baylor/Augustine Montgomery
For this ship, I’d prefer that Arabella be a bit older when they get together, like maybe early-mid 20s? One-sided crushing from either side is also fine here. :)
-Arabella takes an internship or a job with Montgomery instead of working for Baylor Investigations. Why? Is she looking into him for some reason? Does she want to work outside of the family firm for a bit, to expand her abilities? Does Montgomery offer her other ways to use and explore her powers?
-I’d imagine that although she's a Prime, nobody out there is looking for Arabella's power in their genetic pool. How does that complicate a relationship for her? Is it something Augustine could overlook?
-Augustine spends so much time focusing on looking perfect. How does Arabella's Beast form look from his perspective? Or conversely, how does Arabella feel about Augustine's true form?
-Augustine needs a (fake?) date for some Prime event, and Arabella gets drafted.
Catalina Baylor/Original Character
I am open to OC love interests of whatever gender for Catalina. (How would a F/F ship work in this world, especially for a Prime?)
-Catalina gets set up on a series of dates with OCs with increasingly strange powers.
-Catalina comes across someone else who’s immune to her powers.
-Catalina and her SO are shopping for a home. Nevada probably has a lot of opinions, right? What kind of issues could come up? Or maybe Catalina is settling into their new home, and starts thinking the house is haunted.
-People on Herald start shipping Catalina with [OC]. Catalina decides she wants to figure out why. Or (maybe more likely?) Arabella decides they need to figure out why.
-Based on Diamond Fire, Catalina will be learning a lot about being a Prime from Rogan's mom, and is probably going to be rigid about following it. What would it look like if she met an OC who encouraged her to mix things up a little? To follow her own desires instead of what's expected of her as Head of House?
Hive Mind
I love this series. :D I’m always here for special, special telepaths and the people who love and serve them, so this series was an easy hit right on the sweet spot for my id… and then the author threw in some really interesting worldbuilding, too.
I love how the Hive isn’t a dystopia or a utopia, but something in between — some things are obviously better than our world, and some things are obviously worse, and some things are just different. It’s a fascinating balance and I love the unique view Amber gets of that world.
General prompts (any requested ship)
-Characters get to explore some new area of the Hive!
-Amber (and Lucas, Buzz, and/or Nicole) is taking one of her reset breaks over at Hive Futura when something goes wrong. Maybe someone’s gotten in from outside and is stalking them. Maybe there’s a serious snowstorm, the aircraft can’t leave to bring them back, and the systems at Hive Futura are breaking down. Or maybe something else!
-Emergency response-related fic is my jam, and I’ve really enjoyed what we’ve seen in canon. I’d love to see more of our team responding to emergencies! What would an epidemic look like in the Hive? Are there ever storms outside large enough that they affect the inside of the Hive?
Buzz/Nicole (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards)
Buzz is a good person who's willing to get unscrupulous at times. Nicole's extremely earnest, but also enjoys coming up with lies to cover up Telepath Unit operations. I feel like they could be an unexpectedly good match, and I’d love to see more.
-Buzz decides to get a little unscrupulous. :D Or maybe Nicole's the one who decides to make the first move?
-Valentine fic! It’s one of the few holidays we know the Hive celebrates, after all. :D Does Amber’s unit get to do a big celebration, or does an emergency run come up and conflict with their plans?
-Buzz introduces Nicole to a new area of the Hive. They must have more specialist recreation facilities we haven’t seen yet, right? What sorts of things might Nicole enjoy? Where does Buzz shop and would Nicole feel out of place there?
-Buzz is a definite clothes horse, so maybe she starts wearing deliciously respectable-yet-sexy outfits to try to get Nicole to notice her. Nicole’s either good at hiding her interest, or focusing on some other aspect of Buzz, like her kindness, sense of humor, amazing hair, banging bod, etc.
-Buzz gets an unexpected insight from Nicole.
Amber/Lucas
I love these two together! Amber thinks of herself as ordinary, even though she’s not; Lucas is a life-long outsider who’s unexpectedly found a place.
-Amber has mentioned that Valentine is the festival for couples, and she hasn't had one with a partner before. What's Valentine like? How would Amber and Lucas and the unit celebrate?
-Amber/Lucas, down time Outside or in the unit.
-Amber/Lucas, trapped in a bookette program that’s malfunctioning unexpectedly.
-Amber accidentally reads one of Lucas’s parents and discovers more about why his family fell apart the way it did. Does she tell him?
-Amber and Lucas try to solve a problem for one of Amber's parents.
Amber & Buzz (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards), Amber & Nicole (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards)
I’d love to see more of Amber’s friendships with the people on her team! I chose Buzz because I love Buzz’s wicked sense of humor and down-to-earth approach, and Nicole because she’s one of my favorites, and we don’t get to see interact with Amber as much.
-Amber's view as Buzz and/or Nicole assist with some Hive emergency like an epidemic or power failure
-Amber & Nicole and/or Buzz plan the unit’s Valentine celebrations!
-Amber seems to identify and preemptively solve a lot of problems for the people in her Unit. What problems might she have solved for Buzz or Nicole?
-Nicole and/or Buzz join Amber on a low-stakes event, like a day at the beach, or a day of shopping.
-Amber’s singing! We know she enjoys it — is she any good? Does Buzz decide to organize some sort of opportunity for Amber to sing? Does Nicole sing, too?
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR HURRICANE PAST THIS POINT.
Seriously, so many spoilers, turn back now, it’s a great book and I don’t want to wreck any of the twists.
First, one any-requested-combo darkfic prompt that relies on knowledge of the new book (and seriously, major spoilers, turn back now): We know Gold Commander Melisande would give the orders to shut the bulkhead doors and abandon a zone of the Hive if she had to. What if that has already happened? Our characters have already seen the Hive from the outside, but it’s not like they can easily see where the zone divisions are. What if there’s an abandoned zone past Burgundy or past Violet? What could happen to force Amber into that area?
Juniper/Melisandre (Hive Mind - Janet Edwards)
First off, I screwed up when nominating — it’s Melisande, not Melisandre. Ack.
Juniper gets introduced in Hurricane, and by the end of the book, she’s the deputy for a senior-level position and has an imprint that tells her a lot of the Hive’s most closely-kept secrets. Also, she’s from the Sea Farm, which means she’s got a very different perspective from Melisande.
Juniper wasn’t looking for a relationship while Amber and all the rest were there, but what about later on? Her role seems like it’ll put her into contact with Melisande, who’s made it clear she’s into strong women. I feel like this could be a really good match on both sides.
-Melisande asks for Juniper’s help with something at the Hive.
-Melisande starts taking more runs to the Sea Farm and not admitting why — maybe not even to herself.
-Juniper trying to overcome her dislike of the Hive to spend time with Melisande.
-It seems like only the Outside workers really get vacations or time away from their jobs in this world. Melisande is one of the few people in a job she actually wouldn't have chosen... does she ever get to get away and if so, would she go to the Sea Farm to do it (and end up connecting with Juniper)?
The Spy Who Dumped Me
Morgan Freeman/Audrey Stockton, Morgan Freeman & Audrey Stockton
I love these two together! I love the way Morgan is always just too much, and the fact that Audrey loves her for it. I love how Morgan is always there for Audrey, and the way she tries to make sure Audrey owns how awesome she is.
Either gen or ship are great. If you go the gen route, I’m fine with background Audrey/Sebastian and/or Wendy/Morgan. I DNW love triangles for Audrey and Morgan, however, so please no Morgan crushing unrequitedly on Audrey while Audrey’s into someone else, or vice versa.
-Spy hijinks. SPYJINKS.
-Morgan’s parents! I loved them so much. Has Audrey met them before? I can’t see Morgan fake-dating Audrey for her parents’ benefit— let’s be real, she tells them absolutely everything. But I could see Morgan taking Audrey home as a friend, and her parents deciding to play matchmaker and try to ignite some sparks, in the most awkward and well-meaning way possible.
-I want to know more about this underage magician Morgan had staying at her grandmother’s condo. The one who disappeared forever. Like… what? There’s a story there, right? Maybe Morgan and Audrey decide to use their new spy skills to try to track him down?
-Undercover as a couple for a spy mission turns into real feelings.
-Looking for a new apartment together because some spy asshole blew theirs up.
-I love seeing people use spy skills for ordinary, every-day problems that really don’t warrant them. Maybe something about their weird landlord, or something at Audrey’s day job, that Morgan decides needs to be investigated, Spy Style.
Veronica Mars
Veronica Mars is one of my forever fandoms, and with the news about the Hulu reprise series, I had to get back into things. I am more or less familiar with the events of the movie and the two books, but I am also fine if you want to ignore later parts of canon and just work with Seasons 1-2.
For fic about gen ships, I’m fine with background Logan/Veronica, Wallace/anyone, Cliff/anyone, or Keith/anyone, and references to past canon ships are fine. I DNW love triangles for requested characters for this canon, so please no Mac crushing on Veronica while Veronica’s with Logan (or other variations of the type).

-The characters investigate a paranormal case in Neptune! -People have done Veronica Mars-meets-The Good Place fusions before, but I'd be here for more! How would Veronica react to The Good Place? (I can't help but think she'd be even more suspicious than Eleanor....) What would they think if they got assigned as soulmates? Does Mac try to hack Janet?
-Mac just wanted a nice, relaxing vacation... and then Veronica had to go and find a seedy underbelly to investigate.
Cindy "Mac" Mackenzie & Lauren Sinclair
I always wanted Mac to get to know her real little sister, and I’d love to see the two of them together.
-Lauren goes looking into the past and discovers the baby swap. Does she seek Mac out?
-Either Lauren or Mac decides to interact their sister over the internet, under a new identity, but finds herself getting unexpectedly close to the other. When do they admit their relationship? (Epistolary would be awesome for this, btw!)
-If there's one thing I know about Neptune, it's that Lauren will be getting involved in a Mars Investigations case sooner or later!
-Lauren’s become a reporter for the school newspaper, and she's doing some sort of retrospective -- maybe about a past or current case? Maybe Veronica's exploits have turned into urban legends at Neptune High, and she wants to find out what parts actually happened? She tracks down Mac to interview, and Mac has to decide whether to reveal that they're sisters.
Veronica Mars & Cliff McCormack
Cliff has always been one of my favorite minor characters, and I love his banter with Veronica. I’d love to see more!
-The Hangover: Cliff and Veronica wake up somewhere, with no idea of how they got there, or why they’re together. What do they discover as they retrace the night before?
-Cliff goes to Veronica for help on a case, or needs to be bailed out.
-A time when Veronica got into a jam and called Cliff instead of Keith.
-Veronica and Cliff get trapped somewhere together, and must work together to get out.
Veronica Mars & Wallace Fennel
Rewatching the early eps has just reminded me how much I love their friendship. :D
-Veronica gets Wallace his first drone. He’s excited, until he realizes it’s got to be something she needs him to use for a case. (Or maybe it ends up just being a gift!)
-Snapshot of an AU where Wallace and Veronica did end up as stepsiblings! What are holidays like?
-Veronica and Wallace, staying in touch over the internet. Maybe Wallace has a Google alert for news stories he thinks Veronica might be behind, and gets in touch to ask about them? Or maybe Wallace gets scammed over the internet, and Veronica is on the case!
-Wallace buys a foreclosed house with complications, like a prior tenant who won’t move out, or signs of a past mystery. Or maybe the place just needs to be redone, and Veronica’s been watching enough HGTV to be dangerous. He didn’t know what he was getting himself into — but Veronica’s there to help.
