I focused mostly on smaller fandoms when putting this together, although a few of my favorites from big fandoms that I haven’t seen rec’d elsewhere may have found their way in.
I have incredibly good luck with exchange gifts, and this year’s were amazing.

This is the whole sorry story of how I cracked my governor module. It’s not a great story. I fell in a hole and there was a lot of snow.
Perfect Murderbot voice, plus a nail-biting survival story and some great OCs. What’s not to love?

Murderbot has a job that's pretty sweet. It lets them consume all the media they want, and they're not supposed to look at people. So of course everything goes wrong.
Murderbot can handle other SecUnits, but will Sanctuary Moon ever be the same again?
While working security on a shuttle, Murderbot sees the cast of Sanctuary Moon comes on-board. Unfortunately, that’s just the start of Murderbot’s bad luck. Great action scenes and great Murderbot!

Being mistaken for a couple because your captain was the only person attending the Shindig with a single person for security instead of a team was embarrassing, but it was so much worse when you maybe possible had the smallest, tiniest crush on said captain.
Alara and Ed decide to get rid of temptation in the best possible way.

The SNL Totino’s Pizza Roll sketch is a femslashy delight, and this fic expands on that in a wonderful way, with its wickedly funny skewering of suburban brand names and mores.
THE X-FILES: DEVIATIONS
Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Boq

There have been reported sightings of a large, hirsute humanoid in northwestern Washington. Which doesn't satisfactorily explain what Dana Scully is doing in a forest at two-thirty in the morning.
Fun, atmospheric story with some great character beats for Samatha Mulder, who was the one left behind in The X-Files: Deviations canon.
