I still exist!
May. 23rd, 2020 08:40 amAlthough I haven't been fandom-ing lately, for some strange reason. I made the choice to not sign up for Fandom 5K - this is the first round I've missed since it started, which I was sad about, but it was definitely the right choice. I haven't been in the right headspace.
I've also been making masks. So many masks. And managing the increasingly difficult supply chain to get mask-making supplies - the Etsy sellers I've been ordering from have been incredible, but I still can't count the number of times I've ordered fabric, or thread, or sewing machine needles, or marking chalk, or some other material, only to find it sold out before I can place my order, or to get an Etsy message saying "sorry, but..." or have the package go missing in transit. Although I've had very good luck with nose wire and elastic, so I'm definitely not complaining! And I had a huge fabric backlog already that I'm slowly working my way through.
In any event, if you get a much-belated comment response from me today? That's why. I'm still here. I'm just making masks instead of fanfic right now, but at some point I'll be back. I'm already looking forward to Yuletide!
